MAY I KNOW YOU

Lord Jesus, may I know You as You truly are, the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man, the victorious “Mighty One who saves”. (“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zeph. 3:17 NKJ)

Your power and authority cannot be measured, nor can it be fully imagined.  Lord Jesus, on the cross, You defeated sin, death and hell and even though the enemy continues to battle on, You are here to win this battle and You will win this battle.

Evil forces want to destroy Israel, Your chosen people. They want to destroy your adopted children, to keep us from knowing You, to keep us from being fully alive, from loving You and living for You, to “woke” us or to “cancel” us, as so many in our culture are trying so hard to do.

Bless us with boldness. Help us to live our faith victoriously through the presence and the power of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name (Adapted from a homily by Bishop Robert Barron.)

Lord Jesus, You are fully God and You are fully man. You understand and identify with all that I have ever gone through, all that I am now going through and all that I will ever go through in this life.

You are a loving God, our loving Abba, Father. All Your limitless and unimaginable power, authority and resources are on my side. Whatever I will face today, whatever I will face tomorrow, let my heart rest easy in Your perfect love. Let my heart rest easy in knowing that You always hear me when I cry out for help. And let me know that whatever I will face, I am not facing it alone for You will be facing it with me. Your word promises that You will never leave me nor forsake me.

May I know the reality that Your grace is sufficient at all times and in all circumstances. In Jesus name. (Adapted From Joseph Prince.)  And if you are married, “I” and “me” becomes “we” and “us” because you and your spouse are “one” in God’s sight.
